2012 Miami Poker Run
Pier 57 was excited to participate in the annual Miami Poker Run, held the weekend of February 24-26. Our team had the opportunity to run the blue ocean waters in a 46 Cigarette powered by a pair of Mercury 1350 motors, for the 90 mile trip south to Islamorada in the beautiful Florida Keys. With more than 75 boats participating in the run, the “roar and hardware” of the group as it departed the Biscayne Bay Marina was impressive. The perfect weather, water and scenery, made for an ideal start to a fun weekend.
Our Islamorada destination for the weekend event was the famous Holiday Isle Marina. With the Pier 57 and Cigarette staff present at our hospitality trailer, guests and friends were given the opportunity to relax, share boating stories and discuss the new Cigarette models on display at the recent Miami Boat Show, where the response was overwhelming positive!
After two fun,
sun-filled days, visiting with old and new friends, the weather for the return
to Miami was not as cooperative. However, our 46 Cigarette was a pleasure
to drive in the rough ocean water. The impeccable Cigarette quality and
craftsmanship, paired with the outstanding performance, ease of use and the
reliability of the 1350 engines are a fantastic package!
