Shogren Performance Marine kicked off the 2011 Poker Run Season in style at the Poker Run America Ft. Myers, Florida Run.
There was a great turnout of boats with a strong showing of Nor-Tech's. We had the opportunity to run a New 2011 39 Center Counsel and a 43V with one of our customers.
Friday was a meet and greet with old friends and an opportunity to meet new ones.
Saturday was gorgeous weather and everybody ran up to Punta Gorda for lunch at Harpoon Harry's. The run up was a great 65 mile run that allowed us to run the Gulf and really showcase the Nor-Tech ride and quality. The trip back we ran the intercoastal and was able to really stretch out the boats and see what they could do for speed.
Saturday evening was another chance to visit with all the Poker runners and swap stories from the day.
Sunday the Gulf was picture postcard perfect and several of us decided to run to Naples to have lunch and come back. Clear Skies, perfect blue water and warm weather provided us an absolutely awesome run to Naples and back.
Many think a Poker Run is a bunch of people and their boats running together. Poker Runs are much more than just that. They are a great opportunity to spend with fellow boaters who enjoy the same passion for boating and excitement.
